Breakdancing is a high-energy dance style that has become increasingly popular among kids and teenagers. At Dance Dimensions, we offer a one-hour per week breakdancing class that focuses on teaching the basic skills and techniques of this athletic street dance. The class is designed for kids ages 9 and up and is led by experienced instructors who are passionate about breakdancing.
During the class, students will learn the different elements of breakdancing, including toprock, downrock, power moves, and freezes. Toprock refers to the footwork performed while standing up, while downrock refers to the footwork performed on the ground. Power moves are acrobatic moves that require strength and athleticism, such as spins and flips, and freezes are poses that dancers hold at the end of a sequence.

It is not a technical style of dance and almost always done to pop or rap music. This is a high-energy class that focuses on the latest urban dance styles and rhythms.
Our instructors focus on teaching the basic hip hop techniques, such as popping, locking, and breaking, while incorporating freestyle movements to encourage individuality and creativity. Students will also learn to develop their rhythm and musicality, as well as work on their flexibility and coordination. This class is perfect for kids who want to express themselves and build their self-confidence through dance.

Dance Dimensions of Grand Rapids, Michigan provides affordable rates for all of our dance classes. We offer discounts based on the number of classes taken per week. REGISTRATION FEE: There is a one-time, non-refundable fee of $15.00 for all new students upon registration. This does not have to be paid again, even if your dancer takes a year off and then returns.

Delinquent Accounts & Late Fees
If your payment is not received by the last day of the month, your account will reflect a $10.00 late fee. We do not send out statements until account is delinquent.
If your account falls 2 months behind, classes for that student will be discontinued for the remainder of the year.
If, for any reason, you decide not to continue your dance education, please call the studio to inform us, so that we can open that spot up for another dancer. We do not refund tuition.
