THE DANCE DIMENSION TEAM
Dance Dimensions’ instructors are committed to excellence in dance education. We pride ourselves on producing well-rounded dancers. We achieve this by providing our dancers with a variety of growth opportunities that will prepare them to confidently continue in the dance world upon graduation.
Our greatest joy is to see dance affect the lives or our students in a manner that will stay with them throughout their lives, whether they choose to continue in the dance world or take another path. Dance will always be a part of them.
Our instructors started as young dancers, training in studios all over the country in ballet, jazz, tap, modern, contemporary, lyrical, hip hop and pom. All have been in the competition world and won numerous scholarships, titles and awards including UDA national titles and 5 World Champion titles for the USASF Dance Worlds. As adults, many have earned degrees at the following institutions: American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA) with Professional Certification in Dance Theater, Michigan State with BS in Kinesiology with a Specialization in Dance, Grand Valley State University with BA in Dance, Western Michigan University with BA in Dance, University of Michigan with a BA in Dance, and a NASM Certification in Training. The instructors also have had choreography presented at RADfest dance festival, NACHMO dance festival, American College Dance Association, Detroit City Dance Festival (winning Best in Show), and Dance Shorts Film Festival (placing Top 10). Our instructors have worked on Industrial shows and commercials with Redken, Paul Mitchell, BMW, Harley Davidson, Mrs. Fields Cookies, Beezil Designs, Wolverine World Wide, Steelcase, Michigan Credit Union, and Spartan Foods.
As teachers in the competitive world, they have won numerous choreography awards and studio of excellence awards while helping their students achieve 1st overalls and national championships. We have proudly watched our students move on to attend dance programs in our alma maters as well as Marymount Manhattan and Arizona State, and being accepted into the American Tap Company and the American Jazz Company. Some of our former students have danced for professional teams such as the Arizona Cardinals, the Dallas Cowboys, the Chicago Bulls and Carolina Panthers.
